Pola de Siero

In the mining heart of Asturias, the Siero Council used coal to fuel its mining activity throughout the 19th century. The black coal stands in stark contrast to the green valleys and mountains it helped to create, along with the resulting livestock and farming industry, which has since become the area’s main economic activity. Having already witnessed the passing of La Vuelta on numerous occasions, Pola de Siero will now make its debut in La Vuelta Femenina in 2023.
